Google review QR code generator
A QR code that opens your Google review form in one scan. Download it, print a counter card, and put it where guests are happiest.
Pick the venue from the suggestions. The code opens the review form for that exact profile.
A Google review QR code is a printable code that encodes your profile's direct review link, the one that opens the star form instead of your listing. A guest points their camera at it, taps the stars and writes a line, without searching for your venue first. Removing that search step is the whole point: the fewer taps between "that was fun" and the review form, the more reviews land.
How to use it
- Find your venue. Search the name, or paste the Place ID or the short review link from your Google Business Profile dashboard.
- Download or print. PNG for table cards, receipts and social posts; SVG for a print shop; the counter card for a quick A6 print at the desk.
- Test it on your own phone before printing a batch. The link should open the review form with your venue name at the top.
Where it works at a venue
| Placement | Why it works | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Escape room debrief | The team just won or nearly did; the game master is holding the room's attention | Ask once, then let them leave; no hovering over the phone |
| Bowling counter at shoe return | Every guest passes it, not only the booker | A shared tablet at the counter reads as pressure; the guest's own phone does not |
| Party room door | Reaches the guest parents the booking system never captured | Put it at eye height for adults, not kids |
| Trampoline park exit | Parents wait here for ten minutes with a phone in hand | Pair it with a reason to come back, or the moment passes |
| Wallet pass or follow-up message | Reaches guests who left before scanning | Send it the same day; two days later the excitement is gone |
What Google allows
A QR code that opens the review form is fine. What Google prohibits is an incentive conditional on the review, asking only happy guests (review gating), and reviews written on the venue's own device in bulk. A prize wheel that every guest can spin, with the review link shown afterwards and no prize tied to tapping it, stays on the right side of the line. The escape room Google reviews post walks through the policy with examples.
The code is the easy part
Printing the code takes a minute. Getting a third of guests to scan it takes a moment worth scanning for. Use the star rating calculator to see how many reviews you need, and the venue review benchmark to see where you stand against the venues around you.
From a code on the counter to every guest
SpiniX puts a prize wheel behind the code: each guest spins on their own phone, wins something concrete, saves it to Apple or Google Wallet, and sees the review link at the peak of the visit. Guests who win a concrete prize tap the review link 30 to 39% of the time in platform data, against 8 to 9% for a percentage discount.
